Interns
If
you are considering a counseling internship:
The
Paid Internship Program at the Lomi Psychotherapy Clinic is a one-year
postmaster's program for MFT, LCSW, and Ph.D. interns. We occasionally take practicum students if they meet the quaifications below.
Duties
& Qualifications:
Candidates for the program must have at least one year of
previous supervised counseling experience. Interns at the Lomi Psychotherapy
Clinic are expected to work twenty hours per week and are
paid at a rate of $8.00 per therapy session. Duties include direct
work with clients, phone intakes, fundraising and record keeping.
Training
& Supervision:
The internship includes weekly group and individual supervision,
and weekly training classes. The weekly training class covers
developmental psychology, psychopathology, family, couples
and child therapy, depth and somatic psychotherapy. One hour
of one-on-one supervision and two hours of group supervision are provided each week.
In addition
to training and direct experience with clients, the Lomi Psychotherapy
Clinic offers clinical interns the benefit of a supportive
healing and learning community.
