Lomi Psychotherapy Clinic Seeks New Board Members

Lomi Psychotherapy Clinic has served Sonoma County with affordable mental health services and training since 1987. Each month, we offer an average of 500 sessions of counseling to individuals from all walks of life. We also have a limited free therapy program for individuals or families who are homeless or anyone without the ability to pay. Our board is an involved one; we seek their advice on strategy and also look for their active involvement with such areas as our search for a permament home, our major donor campaign and our outreach in the community. At this time, we have a few people retiring after years of service and would like to hear from anyone who might be curious about us or what is entailed with board membership. We are looking for people with all types of professional backgrounds, especially those with financial, management, realty and legal expertise.

Lomi Now Accepting (Some) Health Insurance Plans

Now that more private insurers are paying at least a portion of outpatient mental health costs, we’re working hard to get through the often lengthy process to become ‘network’ providers. Then the clinic can receive reimbursement (ranging from $25 to $60 per session, usually up to 20 sessions) directly from insurers – something we haven’t done until now. Some of these plans also require client co-pays, which we determine at the time of new client intake.
