Hi, I’m Gabo (he/him/el).  I’m a bilingual and bicultural Latine Chicagoan who has made the North Bay my home.  I have worked extensively in non-profits, where I have organized for  immigrants’ and workers’ rights.  My healing work is client-centered and relational.  I believe that the best results in therapy come from creating a judgment-free and secure base for clients to cultivate compassion for themselves, explore their identities within familial, societal and cultural systems, and feel empowered to restructure their own story.  I use a trauma-informed approach and am grounded in liberation psychology and social justice.  I welcome clients grappling with relationship and family struggles, addiction, depression, anxiety, and anger.  I’m committed to working with Black and Indigenous People of Color, immigrants and children of immigrants, as well as people of diverse gender identities and sexual orientation, and in non-monogamous relationship structures.  I am also able to provide therapy in both English or Spanish (or even Spanglish).  I spend as much time as I can outdoors amongst our non-human kin, and am an avid drinker of yerba mate.
