Integrative Therapy Services

Welcome to Lomi Psychotherapy Clinic!

We are dedicated to supporting your well-being, and helping you lead a happier, healthier life.

People seek therapy for various reasons, such as experiencing symptoms of mental health conditions like depression or anxiety, having struggles with interpersonal relationships or communication, issues of coping with traumatic experiences, dealing with grief or loss, managing stress, needing help with decisions, or seeking personal growth and self-improvement. Therapy provides a safe and confidential space where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and work towards understanding themselves better. Therapy can help you find healthier ways to navigate life's challenges.

Below are the key components of the therapeutic process at Lomi, outlining what you can expect when you embark on your journey toward healing.

Therapeutic Process

  • When a client is seeking mental health therapy services with Lomi, the Intake Appointment is an important first step to getting the care and treatment you need. The Intake Appointment is designed to gather basic information about your background while you learn more about the services and therapists available to you. If you call Lomi to request therapy services, you will be scheduled for the next available telephone Intake Appointment. The telephone appointment will take approximately 20 minutes and you will be talking to one of our experienced Intake Coordinators. The Intake Coordinator will ask a series of questions related to your well-being and find an appropriate therapist to fit your needs.

  • Your paperwork needs to be completed by your first appointment. Lomi provides several options to complete your paperwork. The most common is having Lomi send the paperwork to you electronically so you can fill it out in the comfort of your own home. This process requires the client to have a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet (smart phones do not work with our system). Our platform is HIPAA compliant with the industry’s highest standards of encryption for healthcare services.

If you prefer, you can complete the paperwork at your first in-person appointment. We ask that you arrive thirty (30) minutes prior to your first appointment to complete the paperwork in-person.

There are other options available. Please discuss with the Intake Coordinator for the best way for you to complete your paperwork.

  • In-Person Appointment: At your scheduled appointment time, arrive at the clinic and have a seat in the waiting room. Your therapist will come out to greet you and bring you back to a private office. We are a SCENT FREE office, help us keep the air we share healthy and fragrance-free.

Teletherapy Appointment: Your therapist will send you a link to our secure video platform at least 24 hours prior to your first appointment. Our platform is HIPAA compliant with the industry’s highest standards of encryption for healthcare services.

Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel a scheduled appointment, please call your therapist at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule. Appointments not canceled at least 24 hours in advance will require you to be responsible for payment of fees for that scheduled appointment.

  • The therapeutic process begins with an Initial Assessment and Evaluation. During this phase, our highly trained mental health professionals will gather relevant information about your concerns, medical history, and personal background. This assessment helps us gain a comprehensive understanding of your unique needs, allowing us to tailor our therapeutic approach to best support you.

  • Once the assessment is complete, we collaborate with you to establish therapeutic goals. These goals serve as a roadmap for your treatment journey, providing a clear direction and focus for our therapeutic interventions. Together, we define your objectives, whether it's managing anxiety, improving relationships, coping with trauma, or enhancing self-esteem.

  • At Lomi Psychotherapy Clinic, we believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship. Our compassionate and experienced therapists create a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can openly express your thoughts and emotions. Through active listening, empathy, and understanding, we foster a trusting relationship that forms the foundation for effective therapy.

  • Our therapists employ evidence-based interventions tailored to your specific needs. These interventions may include various therapeutic modalities such as mindfulness-based somatic techniques, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed psychotherapy, family systems, attachment work, or other clinically proven approaches. We continuously evaluate your progress and adapt our interventions accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • In therapy, you will learn effective coping strategies to manage the challenges you face. These strategies may involve identifying and modifying negative thought patterns, developing healthy communication skills, practicing stress reduction techniques, or exploring new perspectives. Therapy helps develop emotional intelligence, finding ways to be self-aware, managing a range of emotions in a balanced manner, and being attuned to others. These skills help people to become emotionally functional and healthy. The aim is to empower you with practical tools that you can utilize in your daily life to foster resilience and well-being.

  • Self-reflection is a vital component of the therapeutic process. Through guided exploration, our therapists help you gain deeper insights into your emotions, behaviors, and patterns of thinking. By increasing self-awareness, you can uncover underlying issues, discover new perspectives, and make positive changes in your life.

  • Throughout your therapeutic journey, we regularly monitor your progress to ensure that our interventions are effective and aligned with your evolving needs. We encourage open communication, providing a safe space for you to share your feedback, concerns, and goals. Together, we make adjustments to your Treatment Plan as necessary, ensuring that you receive the most beneficial support.
