Taylor Banfield, MA

PsyD Trainee

I am a clinical psychology trainee and doctoral student at the Wright Institute. I was born and raised in Texas but have found my home here in Northern California. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Civil Engineering, and have since found my love for and second career in psychology and therapy. I welcome clients of varying backgrounds, identities, and struggles. My past work has included providing therapy to adolescents and young adults, many of whom faced challenges related to economic barriers, racism, systematic failures, oppression, intergenerational family dynamics, emotion regulation, future planning, and identity development. My approach with my clients is one of curiosity and an open mind, walking alongside them as they heal, grow, and develop their identity in the context of their individual, cultural, and familial values. In my free time I love taking care of my plants (both an indoor jungle and outdoor garden), partner dancing, and spending time with my dog and cat.
