Shaina Gadow

Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee

Hi there! My name is Shaina, I am a MFT Trainee and psychospiritual guide dedicated to walking alongside people as they find their way back to themselves. My work is rooted in the belief that we are more than the sum of our struggles.

Within each of us is our Essential Self, a place of innate wholeness where qualities like authenticity, compassion, creativity, strength, purpose, and vitality naturally reside. And yet so many of us move through life feeling stuck in shame, caught in feelings of unworthiness, or repeating patterns that no longer work for us. We become restless, depressed, anxious, numb, unsatisfied, and unfulfilled with life and with ourselves.

Believing that everyone has the innate capacity to heal, I see myself as a compassionate, heart-centered guide who meets each client exactly where they are, assisting them in doing the work that allows them to reconnect with their wholeness and vitality, build fulfilling relationships, and find deeper meaning and contentment in their lives.

My approach is relational, collaborative, and deeply honoring of your unique journey. I work at the intersection of mind, body, and soul, incorporating parts work, somatics, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles while integrating empowering, life affirming tools and skills so that together we create the conditions for healing that is real, embodied, and lasting.

I bring over a decade of experience walking alongside people in some of life's most tender and complex moments, from residential care with adolescents navigating trauma, to empowerment coaching, to grief support with those facing profound loss. I am currently completing my Master's in Counseling at the California Institute for Integral Studies, and have additional training that includes Year 1 of Somatic Experiencing, a 6-month IFS Circle Program, yoga teacher training, and grief counseling through Hospice of Petaluma. This work is not just professional for me, it is a calling I have been living and deepening for a lifetime.
