Madison Stefaniuk DiDomenican, Clinical Psychology Doctoral Intern

Clinical Psychology Doctoral Intern

I am a fifth-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). I am currently in my third year of hands-on psychotherapeutic training at Lomi Psychotherapy Clinic (Lomi). In my first clinical placement, I worked with adolescents in a school-based setting in the East Bay. At Lomi, I have gained experience working with individuals across the lifespan as well as with couples.

Prior to beginning my doctoral training, I worked in corporate settings as a social responsibility manager and HR professional. I also spent over five years in the fitness industry and am an artist by nature. I bring these experiences into my clinical work and view psychotherapy as both an analytic and artistic practice.

My clinical approach is rooted in depth psychotherapy and grounded in psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, relational, and somatic theoretical models. Key elements of my approach include longer-term treatment, the exploration of dreams and the unconscious, integration of developmental experiences, attention to intergenerational and transpersonal dimensions of experience, focus on the here-and-now therapeutic relationship, and exploration of the physical manifestations of psyche (soul) experience. I view this integrative approach as supporting meaningful and lasting change.

As a psychotherapist in training, I consider myself both a soul tender and a soul companion. I aim to create a therapeutic container that is strong enough to provide structure while also spacious and flexible enough to support exploration, discovery, and the cultivation of one’s authentic self. Within this space, patients are invited to process and integrate the deeply personal suffering that is inherent to the human experience.
