Claire Dominion

Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee

Hi, I’m Claire, a Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and that each person is the expert of their own life, experiences, and inner world. My role is to offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can feel seen, understood, and supported as you explore what is getting in the way of living the life you want.

My clinical experience includes working with adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, and other life challenges. My approach is integrative and grounded in humanistic and relational therapy, incorporating Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic interventions, Emotionally Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and other approaches based on each client’s unique needs. I am especially interested in the connection between our inner world, our bodies, and our relationships with ourselves and others.

I believe that developing a positive and compassionate relationship with ourselves is the foundation for a meaningful life and deeper connections with others. I strive to help clients recognize their inherent strengths and potential, while creating space for curiosity, self-understanding, and growth. Above all, I hope to meet each person with warmth, compassion, and genuine acceptance.

Outside of therapy, I am a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and enjoy teaching and practicing yoga. I also help manage a local farmers market and love creating community through women’s groups and other gatherings. When I’m not working, you can usually find me camping, exploring new outdoor spaces, surfing, or crafting. I also share my home with my pet snake, Scribble.
