Nicholas Nizibian

PsyD Intern

My priority as a therapist is to create a safe, inclusive, and collaborative space where clients feel respected and understood. Over the past two years of training in community mental health, I’ve had the privilege of working with couples, children, teens, and adults across the lifespan. I’ve supported people navigating a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, OCD, complex trauma, addiction and recovery, and living with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, autism, and ADHD. I have a strong interest in supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and those who identify as neurodivergent. I am equally passionate about men’s mental health and creating space for men to explore identity, relationships, and emotional well-being.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory, which emphasizes the importance of relationships, patterns, and the deeper meanings behind our experiences. At the same time, I draw from a variety of other approaches, including DBT, somatic practices, mindfulness and Buddhist psychology, existential and humanistic therapies, and feminist and liberation-based perspectives. This flexibility allows me to meet clients where they are and to shape therapy around their unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Whether you are seeking to process trauma, explore identity, navigate life transitions, or find new ways of relating to yourself and others, my goal is to walk alongside you with curiosity, warmth, and support.
